Brea recommended the Umi Sake House in Belltown, Seattle. It is her favorite sushi joint when she has a turn out of Seattle. Brea knew we would enjoy celebrating our 36th anniversary here.
We ordered a Salmon Sashimi Sampler...we were curious to compare the different types of salmon and what better place to try them than up in salmon country...Seattle. We were serve 3 different types...California King Salmon, Sockeye, and White King Salmon.
It was amazing that all three had different tastes. SH and I decided we both liked the California King Salmon the best.
SH ordered Chicken Yakitori...very delectable.
There were so many sushi rolls to choose from...I finally decided on two different ones...
crab-spicy mayo mix, cucumber & cilantro wrapped w/
tuna & avocado, finished w/ sweet lemon- jalapeño sauce & green onions. Loved this one with real crab-spicy mayo mix! Oh la la!
salmon, strawberries, avocado, tobiko & cucumber wrapped with tuna & mango served with blueberry sauce. I have never had sushi with a fruit mixture before...very refreshing taste with the fish.
I will give Umi Sake House a 5 star rating...quick service with imaginative sushi combinations. We will return next year.
