Hello everyone...its been a long time between posts this year. I have been travelling alot with the Squirrel Hunter so my blog will take on more of a travelog feel...I hope you will stay tune for my adventures throughout the United States as I visit lots of museums, cemeteries and eateries in this great land of ours!
Our first stop is the Georgia Aquarium located in downtown Atlanta. I'm always a little leary of aquariums that are landlocked. The Georgia Aquarium boasts as being the largest aquarium in the world. It houses young whale sharks, beluga whales, bottlenose dolphins and manta rays...
this I had to see.
The Georgia Aquarium was quite fascinating...there were several animals that I had never seen before...like the whale shark. The aquarium is set up like a huge indoor shopping mall. If you don't have children with you, a good time to visit is late afternoon...anytime after 2pm. Most of the school groups are gone. You can see everything in an easy 2 hours. I give a 4 star rating to this aquarium since they are the largest and have whale sharks. Minus the extra star because everything is indoors and its landlocked. My 5 star aquarium is in Monterey, California. I love their huge indoor tank and the feel of the Pacific Ocean right outside.
